Solution to Automatic Monitoring of Underground Water Quality
On March, 2019, Ministry of Ecology and Environment took the lead to release the Notice regarding Issuance of Underground Water Pollution Control Implementation Plan (HTR  No. 25), requiring to perfect the underground water environmental monitoring network. Prior to the end of 2020, it is required to link the national underground water monitoring engineering, integrate the underground water pollution tracking and monitoring wells, underground water type drinking water source mining wells, soil pollution conditions detailed survey and monitoring wells, and underground water basic environmental conditions survey and evaluation monitoring wells required according to environmental assessment of construction projects, pollution source underground water quality monitoring wells required according to Law of the People's Republic of China on Prevention and Control of Water Pollution, strengthen the operation maintenance and management of existing underground water environmental monitoring wells, and perfect the underground water monitoring data reporting system. Prior to the end of 2025, it is required to construct the national underground water environmental monitoring network and carry out the underground water environmental monitoring according to the national and industrial relevant monitoring and assessment technical specifications.
The Article 40 of Law of the People's Republic of China on Prevention and Control of Water Pollution revised in 2017: The chemicals manufacturers and operation and management companies of industrial agglomeration areas, mine exploration areas, tailing ponds, hazardous waste disposal sites, landfill sites and etc., shall take the anti-seepage and other measures, and build the underground water quality monitoring wells for monitoring, preventing the underground water from being polluted.
The underground water source automatic monitoring system adopts the online automatic analyzer as the core, and applies the comprehensive online automatic monitoring system comprising the modern sensor technology, automatic survey technology, automatic control technology, computer application technology and relevant special analysis software and communication analysis network. The monitoring data shall be uploaded to the water quality automatic monitoring real-time networking pre-warning control system in a real-time manner. It may realize the real-time automatic monitoring and remote control of multiple water quality indicators, timely grasp the water quality conditions of pollution source and ensure the stability and up-to-standard of water quality.
The underground water quality automatic monitoring system adopts the throw-in type reagent-free multi-parameter water quality analyzer that will be suspended in the water course to be monitored via the underground water monitoring wells, implementing the in-situ continuous automatic monitoring upon the underground water body. Adopt the solar power supply method, and realize the data transfer and remote control between the underground water monitoring system and central monitoring platform via the wireless communication technology.
The system is consisted of the power supply system, data acquisition and transfer unit, water level gauge, multi-parameter water analyzer, underground water monitoring information management platform, and etc.
